Break the Silence against Domestic Violence is love, empowerment, unity, and family.
On September 15th – 17th of 2017, BTS is inviting survivors from across the world to come together for a weekend of empowerment and connection. The number one reason why so many survivors love us is because of the bond amongst survivors built within our programs. Over the last five years, we have grown tremendously and have cultivated thousands of relationships amongst men and women survivors worldwide.
For the first time ever, Break the Silence against Domestic Violence is hosting an Empowerment Weekend in Brandenton, Florida. This rejuvenating experience is open to women who have been impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault. We welcome you with open arms as we embrace our survivor journey together!
Clear waters, white sands, relaxing vibes – the beaches of the Bradenton Area are perfect in nearly every way. Sink your toes in the sand and keep your head in the clouds on the beach that’s right for you. Or find the ultimate seclusion as waves crash on the shore in front of you. All of the beaches are pristine and true to authentic Florida. Read more on Bradenton.
About the weekend:
This empowering experience will include daily beach days, personal development workshops, group activities, and 1 on 1 time with the BTS Survivor Sisters, Board Members, and also the Founder of BTS – Kristen Faith. This program is not therapy and does not include the same activities and workshops as our Annual Survivor Retreat, these programs are completely separate.
Food: There will always be access to restaurants nearby.
Cost: There is no fee to register! Airfare, meals, activities, transportation, and hotel accommodations are not included. Each guest is responsible for their own personal costs.
Airport: Closest Airport is Sarasota-Brandenton International Airport. The next closest airport is Tampa International. We recommend flying in Thursday and flying out on Monday. We kick off on Friday at noon and will conclude at sunset on Sunday.
Hotel Accommodations: We recommend looking into options in the Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, or Ana Maria Beach areas.
Welcome to our BTS Family!
