Many times when victims are in a domestic violence situation, they don’t know where to turn to for help or guidance. That includes who to call when they decide it’s time to leave.
There are organizations and places for survivors to turn to when they need help and assistance. Break the Silence against Domestic Violence exists to “fill in the gap” of our sister organizations and agencies. We provide unconventional programs that are designed to give survivors more support in their healing journeys. Our team of highly trained survivor advocates provide the support many need and give clients a touch of personal experience to find comfort in their recovery.
In a recent survey conducted by Break the Silence against Domestic Violence of 484 anonymous survivors, 93% responded they would feel more comfortable “with a survivor-domestic violence advocate or educator if they have been personally affected by abuse.” That is why 100% of our Program Directors and Board Members are all survivors of abuse.
